What the Latest Turmeric Research Says About Brain Health

A recent NutritionFacts.org video by Kristine Dennis PhD, MPH looks at the latest clinical research on turmeric curcumin and Alzheimer’s disease. The findings are intriguing, but the takeaway should stay grounded: earlier randomized trials of curcumin in Alzheimer’s patients did not show cognitive benefits, while the most recent trial found a benefit using a patented curcumin extract, though that study was conducted by the supplement company that sells it.
